if the bruins throw in the towell and begin to rebuild why would chara stay. At best the fans have bashed him constantly . he is getting older . he will want to win the cup . why stay here. -

I agree,. Try to trade him if you can to get something back in value before is game starts to dwindle down. I'm not sure of his cap hit or if he holds a no trade clause. -

I agree as well, unless the Bruins return to 2008-09 form next year he might want to test free agency or except a trade to a team were he won't be in the spot light as much.
He needs to be as Malkin is to Crosby. Allowed to get his job done with less pressure from the fans and coaching staff. If he had someone else to lean on he could be more free to play his physical game without the fear of taking a penalty or injury and letting down his team. He needs a break.
