1st game back home after road trip- What can we expect?

History tells us that teams coming off an extended road trip come out flat in their 1st game back on home ice & more times than not lose the game behind a lackluster effort. Will the Bruins break that trend & defend home ice with authority or will they lay an egg tomorrow night. I am hoping it's not the latter, as I will be at the next 2 games. Maybe it will help that Tampa is playing the Devils tonight while the B's are at home waiting for them, plus C.J. gave them the day off. Thoughts.......

It should defintely help Boston that Tampa and Pitt will both be on the 2nd game of a back to back when they come to Boston this week.

It seems like the B's always stumble at home after a good road trip.  Hope they can be a much tougher team to play against at home.

Ironically, both teams are playing the Devils the night before they are at TD Garden. Hope B's use this to their advantage.

The incentive is there - depending on what the Lightning does in NJ, we could hold 2nd in the Eastern Conference with a win on Thursday.  One step at a time, though - play as if it means something and keep the momentum going.

I think it's going to be a tough 1st period.  If they can get out of the first no worse than down 1, they'll get points.  Please don't ask me for facts to back this up though.

except for DET ,every team will be the underdog, and now must make playing at the TD  hard to win a game in

hopefully an energized 1st period. the bolts played last nite, usually that means a team starts slow- the b's must take advantage of this and get a lead. a lot will be determined by the first 20 minutes. let's hope the 3 recent acquisitions are pumped to play at their new home and it rubs off on the rest of the team.
