5 was, Bauer, a trick question, 1 is not.

'His first season for the floundering Boston team not otherwise notable, due to being traded mid-season to a team which had played fewer games than the Senators, ------ set the NHL record for games played in a single season with 31, in a season scheduled for 30 games'

it was the bruins first season - may have been why you missed it.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: 20 Bruins - Legends Edition : Hockey db only lists Bauer as a coach for 1 season with Kitchener.

and  hdb is so wrong all the time i have no idea why you use it.

Anywhose, 5 was Bauer, I messed up on 7 so I'll say my intent was Brimsek.

Just leaves one, and I did not make a mistake on this. He played one more game  than was scheduled and was the first to do so. His number is in the rafters.

And I confirmed Oliver did it in all four seasons before he joined the Bruins, though in the last seaon of the four the WCHL was renamed the WHL.

Darn no time this a.m., the last one is just about a giveaway.

Who do you use other than hockey db?  Sources?  Because it looks like Cook had more points in one of those years., how many does Cook have credit for in 25-26?

So the answer is Hitchman.  Trust hockey-reference when in doubt, I guess.

And the Hockey Hall of fame site, as well as the amazing book by Stan Fischler, The Hockey Encyclopedia. When I get home (on vacation) I'll double check Cook's numbers.
