    2012 Playoffs -Who rises above?

Last year we had Ryder and Marchand really elevate their games come playoff time, and to win a Cup you need secondary scoring to win it all. Who are you guys picks for this year?

I really want to say Pouliot will get a big goal or two and Paille has a big playoffs. I see Pouliot getting a nice OT goal and Paille getting a very big shorthander.

I like it. A nice 2 goal game would come in handy. I really like how his game is coming along, I know he hasnt been scoring, but he's been physical and seems to be fitting in. Nice pick.

    Pouliot-Kelly combo.

I think we forget about Krejci, too. He's good for a couple 2-goal games at crucial times.

I'm not forgetting him as much as I'm expecting him to perform.

Exactly, I was focusing more on 3rd and 4th liners.

I'm hoping we're talking about all 20 players when it's all said and done.  They're built for a long run.

To answer the post, I too expect big things from Lucic.  His time has arrived.

As far as secondary scoring, I'll go with Pouliot as well.  He must be tickled pick he's out of Montreal!

Re: 2012 Playoffs -Who rises above?

I get it with Krejci, but sometimes around these parts he's undervalued in key situations like these. I mean, he almost single-handedly won the PHI series last year. And there aren't too many games this year where he took the entire team on his back.

But we're splitting hairs. I get your points. Pouliot-Kelly are the key.

Agree with Krecji. He definitely shows up when it counts. Caron possibly, provided CJ actually plays him. I have a feeling he is going to sit for the first few games (like Seguin last year) until CJ needs to mix up the lineup a bit or there is an injury.

    The correct answer!

Plus some stellar performances plus TT has to be incredible in goal once more.

Same shutdown play from Seids. I'm sort of expecting this from him. As for a 3rd or 4th liner, my pick would be Rolston. Don't know how much he's got left in the tank but he's a competitor and I'm sure he wants to win before calling it quits.

I think Tim Thomas is about to put on a show. Rolston will thrive. And the Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin line will be impressive.

I want to agree with everything you said ^, except I have Kelly being the one to thrive.
