Just read the Cory Scneider trade. Gillis is absolutely the dumbest GM on this planet

Why?  Hes a very good nhl goalie.  If im the owner eating 30 million wouldnt sit well with me.  They landed a very solid player in the draft, created cap space.  under torts style they will be a shot blocking trap team.  I think this was a great deal.  Now, if im loungo i wouldnt report out of spite.  Lol.

i don't praise the habs organization easily but i've liked what i've seen from Bergevin ever since he became gm....

And totally fleeced Subban on a lowball contract for a couple of years. Had Subban been an RFA This off-season he probably would be demanding $8-10 million....

He fleeced him.  Then gave him basically a 1 1/2 contract.  See whos laughing at the end of next year.  Subban norris trophy and likely a mbr of team canada.  Hes gonna get paid.

With each pick and prospect handshake, Feaster's probably apologizing for his sweaty palms.  Considering the importance of this draft being pivotal to the turnaround of the Flames, plus them having three in Round 1 it's understandable.

Feaster is under the gun in Calgary. Being a community owned club, they are itching to get the "Red Mile" going again. They all ready put some more coals under Feaster's feet by releasing to the newspaper that they have being talking to Brendan Shanahan about being the new president in place of Ken King. Can't be easy being Feaster. And he's still a new hire himself. I don't think they are over the Sutter regieme.

Good points, Stuke.  All reasons why the sweaty hands joke.  When the Iginla trade was made I read fan comments in the Calgary Sun outraged about the players the Flames got in return regarding their rank in the Pens' prospect charts.  We know all GMs have the pressure to win on them but perhaps different situations generate different degrees of it.

Why?  Hes young. An unreal skater.  Plays on the edge and always gives a full effort.  I think he will only get better.  why? Bc each year he has been better.

Barring anything unforseen we'll have to wait and see what the Bruins do as they hold the 60th, 90th, 120th, 150th, 180th, and 210th picks of the draft.

I've read he's seen as the best goalie in the draft.  Has a Memorial Cup championship and a .909 save percentage.  The TSN panel suggested he needed perhaps another 2 or 3 more years to develop.  They also mentioned Price's deal has 2 more years left.
