    2:37 left, tie game=4th line?

With :06 left on the man advantage with a face off in the offensive zone, and the 4th line out there...

is anyone else scratching their head!?

It's mainly because most players from the other 3 lines took part in the PP and also because the 4th line earned extra ice with solid play.

I'm only saying they were solid all night and their forecheck led to the tying goal(I know it was Horton who scored but the 4th line made it possible).Plus they can't call timeout after every PP.You'll notice the 4th line more often than not directly following the PP.

pp one had bergeron, lucic, horton, savard, and chara...
pp two had recchi, ryder krejci, boychuk and seidenberg...

they could have gone back to the second PP...
Or double shifted someone. lots of teams do it, esp the ones with the best PP %

Its not about calling a time out after every PP... its to rest guys that are legit goal scoring threats, late in the game, with an offensive , man advantage, face off. Atleast put them in, and if they lose the draw, skate to bench with the puck deep, win the draw, and stay out there.

Or teams that can't match Boston's depth.Notice PP 1 and 2 that you posted has a guy from each one of the top 3 lines.

If not for the 4th line the Sabres would have won. They were the ones pressuring Buffalo so much that Weber finally coughed it up to Horton who had just come on. They don't have finishing skills but they know how to hustle, forecheck and keep it simple. The other lines still need to learn that.

Im not saying the fourth line didnt play well... Im talkin about finishing games... the fourth line is great for forcing face offs deep, wearing out lines, get a whistle deep and get off the ice...  so krejci horton and lucic, who score goals, have less ice to skate.

I thought Bergeron was the best player tonight.Stud on the forecheck-he could've had 5 points tonight with all the plays he made.

This is a common excuse for Claude overplaying the fourth line.  With minimal time left in a tie game, rewarding players who are very unlikely to score is an incredibly stupid idea.

[QUOTE]Our 4th line creates a lot of scoring chances this year(not last year!). I'd prefer to see any of the B's 4th liners on the ice instead of Wheeler...
