    a little of posters' history

thus thread has probably been created in the past if it has here it goes again.

curious to know how you guys became brui  fans, when and how?

i began watchin g hockey around 8 years old but became more passionate in 1979 bruins vs mtl playoffs (where i still believe we got robbed). Anyhow, this is where i really had a strong instant  attachment to the bruins and coincidentally my hatred for Mtl began.

Brad Park was the player i had a real liking too among others of course but he stood out wiTh terry oreilly. The Bruins eventhough they were often judged for their pugilistic abilities, i found they came across as the good guys and MTL as the crooked fkers with faces you just wanted to punch.  This series was just a heart breaker one where we should have had if it were not for that too many men on the ice. This sereis marked the end of Cherry as the bruis coach but having witnesed what i witnessed durinf that time , Mtl just had the refs in their pockets i will go as to say it was as corrupt as a league could be, Guy lapointe ex mtler even said that when it came to the officating Mtl had all the rights.

Jim Clifford told me about Bruins radio broadcasts around 1954 . like 6th grade I got hooked on Fernie Flaman, the uke line bronco horvath vic stasiukand Bucyk,Short story . 1 nite Canadians were insulting boivin or labine who had a French name but could not speak French so francophone players taught him a sentence in French. He skated up to the Rocket and said, " Comment ca va mon vieux, prenez garde ce soir. Very loosely translated, Hows it going old man, watch yourself tonight. Rocket went wild supposedly.

Started going to Lewiston Maineiacs games when they first moved here and decided to start watching hockey. Was around 13 at the time I'd say. Started following the Bruins afterwards.

Catch any Pirates games up there yet? I have not-so-fond memories of how terrible the locker rooms are at the Colisee and wonder if the pros are hating their lives right about now.  ;)
