    A Positive Note

B's are up 2 games to 1 with having only 1 goals scored by a top 6 forward.  You got to beleive that once the top 2 lines get going they will get stronger and stronger...  The importance of depth.

Didn't seem like Julien had much faith in those top 6 forwards. Krejci bumped to skate with Seguin and Marchand...so he's clearly looking to fabricate a little spark somewhere.

Hand it to the Caps; they're not making it easy. I just think Krejci, Peverly and Seguin need to start getting their legs going, because what they are doing is a whole lotta nothing.

    Re: A Positive Note

Seguin looks like his rookie self all of a sudden. All he's doing is crossing the blue line then softly flicking the puck on net. Pretty much ALL he did his rookie year.

Needs to start taking hits instead of bailing and killing momentum.

Maybe now that Lucic has been pis*ed off he will get into it a bit more... too many giveaways from him. Skates in wide and passes the puck into the Caps D everytime.

Pretty impressive they are up in this series without Horton (injured ofc), Seguin, Bergeron, Lucic, Krejci, and Marchand not scoring.

Impressive and fortunate.  Caps cant hold these guys much longer.

    Re: A Positive Note

It looks like the Capitals' game plan includes punishing Krejci and Marchand whenever possible.  They would probably punish Seguin more, but he gets rid of the puck to avoid hits too often for them to legally hit him much.

I think that Bergeron and Lucic will begin to shine as this series goes on.  I hope that Krejci and Marchind can withstand the punishment and make it to the next round without getting too beat up.

Your positive note assumes the top 2 lines come around.
