All Time Slowest Players in Boston Bruins History

Peter McNab comes to mind, but man oh man could he shoot the puck. Charlie Simmer was not bolt of lightning either. Was Mark Recchi faster than them? Not taking shots at Recchin Ball...I just think age got the best of him...I don't remember him being that slow.
    Who else makes the list?

Brian Curran. He was so slow the zamboni used to pass him as he was going off the ice for intermission.

I'm pretty sure that Hal Gill would lose a race against a receding glacier.

Murray wasnt fast, but he wasnt slow either.  Maybe his last season, but overall not a slow guy.

None of those guys were speed demons, but Hal "Continental Drift" Gill's speed was measured with a calendar. He'd lose a race for the puck with a tortoise. Erosion is faster than Gill.

Funny Chowdah, Curran was the first name that popped into my mind too.

Also, Al Pedersen and Hal Gill would be worthy of mention.

Gary Doak.  Wore snowshoes instead of skates but got the job done.

All wrong.  Jason Allison wins the slow race.

Peter McNab was probably the slowest player ever to play for the B's but was still a good player....and 2011 Mark Recchi ...

Al Pederson was no speed demon but the winner might go to Frank Simonetti who was playing against the Flyers one game and during a whistle Eric Lindros skated up to him and said "you should call the cops" Simonetti replied "why" Lindros quipped "because someone stole your legs"...funny.

Brad Park was pretty slow at the end of his career in Boston.

    So was Hal Gill

Don't forget Jay Miller and James Wiemer.

And Sorry O'Reilly, Nealy and Thornton, but I read on a CD that Eddy Shore was the toughest. Several anecdotes on Shore.

Agreed. GM was so ffing slow, but Recchi really takes the cake on this one.

I would have loved to see Murray vs. Recchi skating 1v1 at the end of their careers.

Pederson v. Allison.  Not many others come close (though we're talking relative to their eras).  Gill might get passed by the glacier, but it would make a high-pitched whining sound as it raced past either of those two.

I forgot about Allison. He travelled slow eough to challenge the theory of relativity. In Pederson's day I followed the Bruins mainly by radio, so I can't recall his skating speed that well.
