    Already Bruins Untouchable Defensively

With 12% of the season gone, the Bruins are in playoff-gear defensively. No team comes close to them when defending.

As we all know, defense win championships.

Enjoy everyone. It's going to be a sweet year.

    Ericksson will be back soon.

    But the powerplay stinks.

Everyone talks about it.  Neely.  Chiarelli.  Julien.  TSN guys.  Sandog.

And here we are, a few years later, and everyone is on my train.

Whoa whoa whoa.  The D didn't look so bulletproof last night aside from Tuukka.  Reel it in a little please.

Colorado actually has better defensive numbers this year (although they're the only one) and if you recall, they shut us out.

I have never been a power play complainer because we keep winning without it.

I don't care how we win - just win!

At present - true. You and I both know they won't keep it up. Roy or no Roy.

    Re: Already Bruins Untouchable Defensively

The addition of speed and puck control by the three newbies, Krug, Hamilton and Bartkowski have complimented the experience of Chara[ slow of foot] but big and strong; Seidenberg, great experience, but methinks the recent extension is too long unless Chia is planning a trade; McQ continues to learn and is a lot tougher than Thornton; Boychuck of the frequent brain cramps, but the kids can usually cover his mistakes. Boychuck needs to take a lesson from McQ on the soft wrister rather than blast off of the boards and glass; but, perhaps my expectatons are too high. It's good to note that Krug and bartkowski were schooled in Providence where a few other young D are in training. Hamilton's skills are inbred/natural proving again the wisdom of Chia's drafting.
