Another loss signed the Power PLay

PP is significant in the regular season.
Add tonight loss due to no PP.
Other games the PP was the main reason they lost, Canucks, 1st game against the Rangers,  the Wild, Buffalo Friday night ....

Not just the pp, but all around I think the worst game they have played this year.

    TT gets the only star.

They didn't compete for 2 1/2 periods...not sure what that has to do with the PP ?

If not for TT - it would have been a blowout.

Yes TT keeps you in a game till the 3rd period,  they had a chance but showed nothing.
They actually started really well the 3rd till they got the PP.  It broke the Bruins rhythm.

Can't agree more! TT kept this game close but one of the worst efforts this year. Sportsnet showed some telling stats since the Whitehouse visit...-9 in goal differential and under .500.

It has to do with still being in the game after 2 periods , then you get 3 pps in the 3rd and they cannot amount to anything ??  last minute 2 man advantage !!
Teams with a real PP make the other team pay in situation like this and don't lose.

Funny they seem to play better 5 on 5 or even on the PK.
There should be a rule that you can defer the penalty. Noticed this last year as well

They stunk tonight.  TT made it closer than it should have been, and yes, the PP should have been the difference between getting at least a point and getting a goose egg.  Oh well, pick up the pieces and move on to Thursday night.  Can't cry too long about a loss in February.

Agreed what a boring game, but me thinks CJ is preparing the team defensively for the playoffs.  The injuries are just an excuse.

But they play jacques Plante every single night, dontcha know?

Every night, its another Hall of fame goalie.  Not their fault.

Oh, and its the refs too.

    Weak.

And to think the B's still had a chance to tie it up with 2 mins left in the third, unbelievable the way hockey is. If the B's had tied it , i think the Sens fans would have felt cheated. Botton line, the B's were never in this game, at least mentally.TT saved them, and Ottawa deserved the win.

One of the worst game of the season so far. They did absolutely nothing in the first two periods. There were only two Bruins really playing: Thomas and Lucic. Poor Milan...Krejci and Kelly were AWFULS + Seguin is in a slump + only 3 lines playing = no offense ! If Julien don't trust Caron, send him in Providence and try something else, for God'sake

Seeing how they have been an awful team since the Vancouver game, you could take the "stats" from any point since then and make that case.  But lets pretend an arbitrary date coinciding with the White House thing has something to do with how bad they are now.

Whats their record since Horton has been out?

They're in a rut and seem to have slowly allowed poor habits to creep into their overall play.  The extra man situation has reverted back to it's pedestrian, mostly non-threatening self.  The league's better PP's (i. e., Vancouver, Preds, Philly, Edmonton and Leafs) punish the opposition's offenders.  Right now the Bruins' version does not.

Minus rolston and savvy cap hits, we had 10 mill in cap space to try and fix the awful pp from last year. Pc has been awesome, and ufa season was so inflated in july last yr, I hope we doesnt go into next year with that much cap space, lots of big ufas next yr

Good point, I don't TT is the problem. Your right about the Van game, they seem to be a lot softer since giving them double diget PPs.
