Perfect Ols.
Stanley, you're terrible. Just stop. You once admitted you were wrong about this. You should have left it at that. Go get a Jets jersey. -

Bruins traded a 5th round pick to get Adam McQuaid. That pick became Jamie Benn. Does that make it a bad trade for the Bruins? -

Wheeler was never accepted by B's fans or management. For a player of his size to be as soft as he is just embarrassing in a B's jersey. Furthermore he couldn't score consistently which ended up being his undoing. No one has ever questioned his talent just his heart. He needed a fresh start and so did the Bruins. -

I couldn't answer your poll because you didn't give the option of it was a great trade for the Bruins. Wheeler's doing well for the Jets, but Peverley is better and cheaper. Peverley also brings intensity and energy to the third line. When Wheeler plays on a lesser line he becomes invisible. Wheeler and Peverley are scoring points at almost the exact same pace but Peveley plays 2 less minutes a game and on the third line. That makes him substantially more valuable to me and I simply like his game better. He's no float, all energy. When he's out there the team gets jumping. Also great on faceoffs. Throw into the equation that his lower salary allowed the Bruins to put their cup team together and this trade is a beauty for the Bruins. Not bad for the Jets, either, but it was good for the B's.

Also, with your Nash to Montreal guarantee I lost my house Stanley. I know you ignored the post because it was you making a fool of yourself ( like this one) but hey, you guaranteed it with inside sources, I took you at your word and it turned out there were no inside sources and you dont know a thing about how a hockey team works. You just threw the word guaranteed out there like it was worthless, you knew at the time that you were full of cr*p.
You were correct exactly once, when the Bruins won last year. Thats once in about 5000 predictions. You arent Nostradamus. You arent even Nostradamus brother Eddie. -

unless the big oaf helps his team to at least 6 Stanley Cups, it's not even close as the worst trade in B'S history.... Dryden trade gets that title....
Wheeler gave the B'S two months of good hockey at the start of his rookie year and was disappointing thereafter....
no regrets here, would've preferred to still have Stuart though... -

Stuart got bumped out of the top six in Boston by McQuaid. In Boston, Stuart couldn't complete a 6 foot pass and for all his toughness was often responsible for the breakout stalling. Rock of a guy in his own end, but the second the game becomes about advancing the puck, he's a liability. And in case you hadn't noticed, these Bruins are at their best when making a fast transition from D to O.
Wheeler's been playing the best hockey of his life. He looks like he has the confidence to play with some aggression. We'll see what happens if/when expectations are for him to play this way all the time.
