    Anyone remember ex-Bruin Jarmo?

Back in the early 90's. I remember seeing him play with Maine Mariners against Newmarket Saints a number of times. Also remember seeing a few games he played with the Bruins.

Always thought he was a cerebral type, but a centre who played with gusto.

His relationship with John Davidson while both were with the Blues worked out for Jarmo.

    Good for him.

Young crowd on this board. No-one remembers Jarmo?

Derek Sanderson used to have fun saying his name on the broadcasts back then.

It's not a matter of it being a young crowd. It's due to people not remembering every single player who has had a cup of tea in the NHL.

He was one of those cup of tea players.

Come on, Chow. How can you forget someone with a name like "Jarmo Kekalainen"?

If that name doesn't ring a bell, it's because you were born after he was around.

I was born in the 50's. It rings a bell. But if the bell rang yesterday I'll have forgotten that I heard it.

Last name raing a bell, but first name didn't.

The cup of tea guy on that team for me was Jeff Lazaro.

I remember him being around Wheats but I also remember him being unimpressive. When I heard who the BJ's signed, the first thing I wondered is if he was the former Bruin.

I remembered his name, but for some reason thought he was a goaltender.  I might have confused him with Cleon.

    Yes.

Along with two others from that era:  John Byce and Ralph Barahona.

Both scored in their first game with the Bruins (Byce in the playoffs), if I recall correctly.

Byce I vaguely recall (maybe), Barahona not at all.

The brain cells are running for the exits, soon the theater will be empty.

How many cups of tea Jarmo had in Davidson's office in St. Louis will be brought up again in a few years. The BlueJackets have 3 picks in the 1st round, two of the top three (if the draft started today).

Will Colombus look like the Blues in 3 or 4 years ?
