The penalty given to Gudas in the 3rd period in T-Bay spells the end of the hip check in the NHL if that's how it's to be called. Wasn't even remotely low but he got called for tripping. Brutal.

Hard to believe but with a regulation win agains the Sharks tonight the Oilers would move into 8th spot.

I pray that the Hawks meet the Ducks in the Western Conference finals. WOW can those two teams play. Skill, speed, tough, up and down the ice last night. Replay coming up on NHL Network setting the DVR.

I haven't seen it yet, but I just got a text that says Colton Orr got 3rd man in for jumping in on Kaleta vs. McLaren.

I guess Kaleta got a pretty good beating.

Can't wait to see it!

Imagine being Kaleta.  Both Orr and McLaren (my vote for toughest guy in the league) lining up to kill you.

Check out Kaleta in the box with John Scott beside him and multiple panes of glass between him and Orr/McLaren.  He sure is a lot more animated than he was at the faceoff circle.

I want to see anytime Kaleta's on the receiving end of something .  Right now his team is behind 3-1 to the Leafs with less than 9 mins. left in the second period.  Grabovski scored moments ago.

No doubt you'll catch it later.  Kessel and Man Mountain Scott beside each other at the circle.  Scott's got his stick over Kessel's and leaning on him.  Kessel moves his stick.  Scott does it again and Kessel smack's his stick to start the jousting.  Never thought I'd ever see that reaction from Phil Kessel.

CBJ up 3-1 against CGY nearing the end of the 2nd period. Flames are just horrible! Horrible! Amazingly, Kiprusoff's save % this season is .867 (that is not a typo) and will likely go down further after this game. Feaster is an idiot if does not conduct a firesale at the deadline.

Make that 4-1 with 5 minutes left in the 2nd.
