Sens have become my 2nd favorite team...by a wide margin!

Agree hang.  Alot to like about the Sens.  They could have rolled over given their devastating injuries.  They didn't, they battled through it.  They are very tough to play against, kind of remind me of a local team from a couple of years ago.

management has really messed up there.  In attempt to get tough they have a team with no depth.  I said this at the beginning of the year.   they are a soft one line team.

    Complete makeover.

At 14:39 of the first period it's already 2-0 Blues over the home Kings.

I don't subscribe to the "blow it up and rebuild" line of thought.  They need more grit, yes.  I can see Kassian turn into a poor man's Bertuzzi (pre-Moore), and if so, I'd love to see him paired with the Sedins.  A couple more "hard body/soft hands" wingers, and a legit #1 shut-down D-man (they have an entire d-corps made up of 2nd & 3rd pair guys).  You need everything to be a Championship-contending team -- skill, grit, alpha-D-man, solid 'tending.  I think the Canucks have the first and last, they need the 2 middle elements.  You don't need to blow it up to get that.

Question is:  can Gillis get that done?

    I'd keep AV.

The only team that can be swept this year is Vancouver.

Since having their hearts ripped out by Marchand and Co, the Canucks have one single playoff victory.

Just the wrong combination of players in Vancouver.

And once upon a time I liked the Canucks, maybe never again.

Yes, some great hockey in the west. unfortunatley, in the east, the Leafs should have been in the AHL playoffs and so this series is not that great. They really do make more mistakes than some AHL teams. It's incredible.

Man, talk about crowd battles in the stands between Sens and Habs fans....just a crazy dynamic. Both trying to outdo each other in noise...

Switching over from pens -isles 1-1 after 1. expect it from everyone they need this game bad so they will try to draw penalties.

jm, did you hear about the 11 year old Montreal girl who was told she couldn't wear her Sens jersey to school on Habs jersey day?  Students were allowed to wear jerseys instead of their school uniforms – but only if they wore Montreal Canadiens’ jerseys.

She wasn't a Habs fan and wanted to wear her Ottawa jersey so she refused.  Long story short she didn't take off the jersey and Sens owner Eugene Melnyk heard about the situation and sent a limo to take her to tonight's game in Ottawa and watch it from the owner's suite (I think).
