Barrie out 4-6 weeks, and Cooke has been offered an in-person hearing.  Hope they throw the book at this guy.

I don't think the fact the ref was French in Montreal has anything to do with bad officiating. IMO the refs get intimidated at the Bell Centre when you have 20k+ squealing fans from the start of the whistle till the end of the game.  They'll scream for a penalty everytime a Hab goes down. That's what we call home ice advantage and if it works kudos fir the Habs,  why not, right ?

Curious to see if Read gets a suspension. Really unscrewed Carcillo's head with a blind shoulder check. Can't stand the guy but give Carcillo credit. Shakes off the cobwebs -- takes a penalty then comes out of the box and scores a goal. Flyer fans killing Emery a good part of the 3rd period.

Kings were counted as one of the "big" teams in the West along with the Hawks, Blues, Avs, Ducks and Sharks despite finishing 7 points back of the Hawks and at least 11 points behind the rest of that group.  Sure looks like they're 10 points worse than the Sharks.

Pens/BJs GM#4: Referees making themselves seen/heard calling 6 minors in the first 15 minutes of the 1st period.

Jackets might just make a come back... down 1 with 20 minutes left but they were the better team in the second!

The Ducks will beat Dallas but if the injuries continue their run to the Cup will be a short one.

I am shocked at the 4-0 Montreal victory over Tampa.  The conspiracy theory of French "Canadien" officials is laughable imo.  Now making poor calls should be the NHLs focus.

The best series outside my personal bias  (Boston/Detriot) has been St. Louis Chicago.

Geez the Sharks are for real.  A shocker for sure.

Watching Stars Ducks now.  Seguin still doing nothing.  Any success the Stars have in the playoffs will have nothing to do with Seguin.  They are all skating theirs buts off and Seguin seems like he doesn't care.

Man am I glad the Bruins have Rask. The #1 reason why I was a fan of signing Tuukka to a big contract is that he is so unlikely to be the reason they lose a playoff game, let alone a series. Steady as she goes....

If things keep going the way they're going in Pittsburgh, they have to move MAF, don't they?  At what point do you say that, for whatever reason, the guy is snakebit and maybe it would be best for all concerned to make a change?  The guy is haunted by the ghost of Tommy Salo.  Every Nick Foligno OT shot must give him Patrick O'Sullivan flashbacks.  The sheer number of these highlight reel fails for MAF is unbelievable.
