La vs ny  doesn't get any better then this. .. nhl must be real happy.  I hope it goes 7 And usa see s why hockey is by far the best sport.   We certainly have not seen the last of Chi still a very young nucleus except for Hossa an sharpe who is getting up there  I will make my prediction later. I did take chi to beat La ... how close was this series .

Its a great final not many care when cal edm or vanc get to the finals .. winnepeg has never gotten there and they will not get there in many years.

Anyhow lets sit back and watch the best sport of all from the two largest media centers in the U.S of A

Joke. Will be remembered as "The Ref Game"

Being that the NYR won, I guess they truly don't stand a chance.  NHL wants the Hawks to hoist the Cup.  They think a "Dynasty" is good PR.

If the Kings win the game and win the cup - ahh does that mean Bettman changed his mind in between periods ?

Cause that would mean 2 cups in 3 years for the Kings ?

Why yes.  You are correct.  So it's a win-win.  I figured the "back to back" thing would sway it, or 3 Cups in 5 years for the Hawks.

But it's LA/NY - 2 biggest markets now.  I hope the Rags make a series of it.  6 or 7 games.

Yes, it would involve a Canadian team.  And a team from Mass

That series was so much fun. I actually almost, kinda, maybe, possibly felt bad for the Hawks for a brief second. I didn't want to hear the word "dynasty" bandied about and am glad the Kings rained on their parade, but boy, the Hawks play the game the right way. Excellent team in all facets of the game.  Quenneville is a heck of a coach.

I'll be happy if the finals are half as entertaining as that.

LA defense a mess here early. They better settle quickly or this will be a shoot out.

Fast enough to really Pi$$ me off. No surprise -- Kings have their hands full. Ryan McDonagh looking like a Norris candidate. Big 3rd needed by L.A. -- Go Kings.

The league needs to make unbreakable composite sticks mandatory.  The technology is there.
