Oh wait.  I don't have ten lifetimes to list your stupidity.

Iginla couldn't get it done in Calgary.  He couldn't get it done in Pitt.  He couldn't get it done in Boston.  Those are facts.  Suggesting that it's dumb to say he could be a cause is suggesting that he has no effect on the outcome.  We're not talking about a third line winger.  We're talking about a highly paid centerpiece player.

Of course he has an effect.

    up from 2013-2014 totals

4 more goals from The Matrix

    3 more goals from Bergy

    3 more goals from Fat

    3 more goals from Smithers

    3 more goals from Marchy

5 more goals from Soda Pop

14 more goals from Lou LouI

    7 more goals from Dougie

20 goals from veteran right handed shot on the 2nd or 3rd line.

You can still work KoKo, Spooner and Fraser in on some nights. The bonus is that the Bruins would have money to make a trade at the deadline next winter.

And there's the reason if you want to let him go San, money. He's an excellent player and to suggest he was a detriment to those three teams the dumbo listed is as asinine as saying beat it.

El Busto...no i'm kidding, Jarome is still productive. Very impressed with him against Montreal...most games.

No one said he was detrimental.

And what's worse is that you embarrass yourself by trying to be the big boy, puffing out your chest and throwing insults...all on a false premise because you can't read.

I want Iginla back, thought he was a good fit.

I can also understand why he might resist an incentive laden deal.  He scored 30 goals, only 20 other players in the league accomplished that last season.

This is the likely scenario. Obviously this team will not be better than the 2013-14 version. Pretty much everyone would have to have career years to make that happen.

That said, a second round exit does warrant some changes.

I didn't realize Holyfield could skate.  He'll be a great replacement for Thornton!

Seriously, Stan...you were 0 for the draft.  It's almost like you were there telling Chiarelli what you thought and he chose to do the opposite - like you're George Costanza  or something.  They might as well burn Marchand's name into his stall....

I am aware that NAS is a well respected poster on this board, however there is no I(ginla) in TEAM...

...so lets be real, is it Jarome's fault that:

    • Calgary did not have the talent
    • Pittsburgh, with a boatload of talent lost this year also without Iginla,
    • and the B's underachieved in the playoffs...pretty much team wide...from Rask to Iggy's linemates.

Maybe Iginla is bad luck, and maybe that's your real point, but just say that then, since I would be leary about seeing the B's give him more than a year deal right now.

It won't be better than the regular season 2013-2014 Bruins, but it should be better than the playoff 2013-2014 Bruins.  Chara's play could slide a little because of age, but I think he'll probably be the same.  Hamilton, Krug and Eriksson should improve.  Seidenberg will be a big upgrade over Bartkowski in the top four.  Smith is young and should improve.  Playoff Marchand has to be better.  I think that team plus a rental at the deadline could compete for the Cup.

Depends on how many rookies CJ is going to have to rely on going into the playoffs and the number of injuries. As we found out this playoff run, a large number of rooks is not ideal.....plus expecting pretty much everyone to "improve" is just not realistic.
