Boone got 5 and a game but he has the hit from last years Bronze medal game. The video is also on the "World Juniors" of TSN. I say becuase Jenner has a history he gets suspended.

Remember when we used to debate the legality of every hit?  I miss that.

Hit is very late and worthy of a suspension, especially as a repeat offender.

Not as late as I would have thought. Oh well.

It was late, so he deserved a penalty.

If hockey was the police, people would be getting 10 years for speeding.

They do sometimes, when the speeding results in someone getting injured.  But I agree, "player safety" is now excessive.  It's that typical process, like over-calling obstruction, of magnifying something in order to create change.

Like preventing Rome's hit on Horton ?

SanDog, I don't think this relates at all to the Rome hit on Horton. This is more similiar to the Kaberle hit from Janssen. They were both over a second after the puck left. This was just under a second. Just my opinion though.

I saw this play as an attempt at a big hit with the "victim" fully aware of the coming impact, not a leap and shoulder directly to the head of a player that wasn't looking.

Re: Boone Jenner: Suspendible hit ?

"Victim" ? lol. If Boone hadn't had a history of a hit to the head in last years WJC, then I would've said the penalty should be two minutes for a late hit. Call it roughing ot a major penalty.
