In response to riptide757's comment:
With all major decisions like this there's never one specific reason for why but rather a combination of many reasons that play a part in the process be it in sports or life in general, and the combination of reasons in this case are very evident. was $$$ a factor? obviously after todays transactions.was the immaturity a factor? absolutely! as was the lack of production in the playoffs and lack of superstar potential capibility in arguably the biggest Stanley Cup match ever creating an ever lasting legacy as not being the superstar game breaker in the big game that all of us expected him to be. but the bottom line at the end of the day was the kids LACK OF BALLS! that dont fit Bruins hockey and i believe might have something to do with this
The hard part for Bruins fans is ackowledging the fact the kid is only 21 years old leaving us wondering how good he'll be when he finally does become a man. but if the hip condition that Seguin denies exists is a factor would he ever have lived up to expectations in the future? only time will tell.............I wish him luck in Dallas and thank the kid for his contributions in Boston.
And dont think for one minute Cam Neely's frustration with Tylers wimpy play didn't influence Chia's decision because it did bigtime.
Thorton - Kessel - Seguin - = one in the same?
On a side note: If anyone thinks Kessel and the Leafs are laughing they couldn't be more wrong. Kessel and the Leafs will be crying forever after losing a series like that and probabably never be able to over come a choke job that massive...........
on a side note. I recall it being the full of themselves Bruins fans, convinced they got the better of the deal who took every opportunity to rub it into Kessel's face every time he touched the puck when the Leafs were in town. The numbers Kessel put up speak for themselves. Your analogy only serves to make yourself feel better about your team giving up on Seguin, that's it.
As for the choke job, you should know because your guys did it on the biggest stage. Caught sucking their thumbs after giving up the tying goal thinking Chicago was happy to go to OT. Leafs were a young team who weren't going to deep into the playoffs and it showed in the dying minutes of game 7. Once again, a feeble attempt by a closet hack to make himself feel better about his own teams choke job. nuff said.
