    Bring on the Rangers

I think the Bs will do much better against the Rangers.  Speedy teams like the Habs and now Leafs always give us fits.

B's made an amazing and very unlikely comeback but I am happy they did and I hope they don't put themselves in that predicament again.  IMO these are the areas that need improvement going forward.

    1) Second and third line need to get going (bergeron & Jagr not as much)
    2) Horton needs to be invlolved more.  He can dominate when he does.
    3) Some more line juggling when something is not working.
    4) Please someone do something about the PP.
    5) Get a lot of traffic in front of the King
    6) We need Sides back on D. but overall I think the D. and Rask played well.
    7) Stay out of the penalty box.  B's aren't killing penalties very well lately.

    mattbs,

Why would you care what happens with a team that looked "like a bunch of nervous kittens. panties are turning brown"?

You know, the one you gave up on at 8:09 last night?

    Re: Bring on the Rangers

We may not be so happy to face NYR with the D hurting and Cj , and the B's tired. The B's will have to score 3 goals a game or more to sink the Rangers. We have home ice and the fans have to be with the B's all the way go Bruins .

    Re: Bring on the Rangers

Time to move onto the next round, might as well start on this thread.

    By priority:

    1.  Young defensemen need to continue to play big minutes effectively.  Seidenberg and Ference seemingly are not ready to play.

    2.  Offense needs to be in front of the net.  Shots from the point will not be effective with the shot blocking Rangers.  Seguin and Marchand need to use their speed.  Horton and Seguin need to shoot the puck on net, Seguin is getting Wideman's disease.

    3.  Special teams play must improve, either on the power play or penalty kill.  Most likely the penalty kill considering the past several years.

    4.  Rask must play better than the last two goals by Toronto.  Not that he did poorly but he needs to stop the play when the opposition is presssuring the undermanned defense.

    5.  CJ must find Jagr a center, I believe Krejci's line.  Horton can move to the second if Seguin has a continued scoring drought.  Kelly, Peverly, and Seguin would be burners on the third line.  If not then change the lines CJ to make the team a bit more unpredictable.

This is the matchup I wanted, fear no team.

    Re: Bring on the Rangers

I for one have confidence facing the Rangers.  I think we outplayed them every game this year and would have won if not for some miraculous saves by Lundquist.  More traffic in his crease area will solve that.
