I can't believe Thornton ever gets to finish a check with the awful routes he takes to the puck carrier. He's been brutal so far tonight.

Smith and spooner are  fighting it out for one spot , why put spooner on the wing on the 4 th line. Then when you need Thornton then play him. His role is defined . I know spooner is a center but he may provide more then ST at the moment. Smith on the third line, Spooner into Thornton's spot..

Spooner's centering Byron Bitz and Marco Sturm out there.

Yah his last feed to Fraser wasn't even close and he was wide open.

Yep, Fraser would've needed Jagr's stick to score on that  pass San.

Disappointed in Caron, I thought  the competition might get him going, but it doesn't seem that way.  He's been pretty invisible.

Not sure what you're seeing tonight. He's been hard on the puck all night and created a couple of opportunities to score as a result. Go back and look at Smith's scoring chance early in the game and you'll see that it was Caron who won the battle to free up the puck for him after the face off was a stalemate. He's also leading the team in hits through 2 periods.

That makes even less sense than your typical posts. Are you suggesting it was Fraser's low IQ that led to Spooner putting the pass way out of his reach?

I'm saying, much like yourself, he's a little slow on the uptake.
