I would like to see a PMD with CJs system.  It ain't going to be Yandle, John sons in St..Louis or LA, and by no means Kaberle.  ZZZZZZZZ is the play but hopefully the Bs will find a ten game winning streak in February to place them in the playoffs.  Right now it looks like November 2009!

The myth of the puck moving defenseman continues.

They had a puck moving defenseman last year and they are much better this year without him.

A PP specialist who isn't going to hurt you on defense I can believe in.
A offensive defenseman, one with puck *carrying* skills I can believe in.
The "puck moving defenseman" idea seems to me like making long passes out of your own end to forwards that are playing too high.  I don't believe in it.

A lot of bad ideas here on who to add.  Green is both unavailable and a bad defensmen.  MAB has failed on so many different teams that brought him in thinking that his streaky talents on the PP were worth tolerating his bad all-around play.  Yandle is not available.  I would start the search by finding guys on losing teams, who are not overpaid, who could be available, who are good on the PP, and at least fairly good all-around...

...It's gonna be a short list.  We might have to work with what we've got.

The myth of CJs infallible system with out a PMD continues.  The latest version of PMD, Dennis Wideman was a disaster on any given moment.  An engima to the fans and to the players who needed consistency.  How can you depend on moving the puck into the offensive zone knowing full well a gaffe was in the making.  Now there are no PMD to be had in the market without giving up the future.  So the question will remain, will Savard make the difference on the power play. I will wait till February, then I will judge not the need of a PMD but whether not those who believe the system is fine without one.  Was last night's game an aberation or the shape of things revisted?
