Nice to see some actual Bruins news. Inevitable signing but still nice to see.

You have to like the amount of young talent and potential the Bruins have in net now - Rask, Khudobin, Subban. If Hutchinson can step it up in Providence this year now that he won't have to fight for icetime with Khudobin, then the future for the B's in net will look pretty bright for sure.

I forgot Svedberg too - ok so maybe Hutchinson will have to fight for icetime.

Will Subban ever play a minute for the bruins though.  If he does its only because Tukka Rask proves in the next year or two that he isnt capable of playing that role.

Rask managed to make it to Boston while Thomas was still playing quite well so there's no reason to think Subban couldn't be groomed in much the same manner. He can play behind Rask for awhile if/when he's ready for the NHL.

Not necessarily - the Bruins have five young keepers, only one of whom, Rask, has been tested at the NHL level significantly. PC and CJ have shown they like to go with tandems in net, and have depth at that position. They only need 2 of those 5 to prove their worth as an NHL calibre keeper. If more than two can, then PC has some good trade bait. In four years it may be Rask holding onto the main spot, with any of the other four including Subban, getting a heavy workload in a backup slot (30-40 games). And if Rask does falter, PC's put the Bruins ina position where could have the organizational depth at the position for him to be replaced from within the organization.

You never have enough goaltending. Something always happens, and don't forget, Rask is on a one year deal...Reminds of when the Sox had seven starting pitchers in spring training so they dealt Bronson Arroyo for Willy Mo Pena...2 months later David Pauley was making an emergency start cause they couldnt find find a pitcher. Same thing with Marty Turco last year,

    Good point.
Looking forward to seeing the kid play in juniors (when I can) , the World Juniors , playoffs and hopefully to a team for the Memorial Cup this season.
The faster the kid gets a good goalie coach the better.  He has the raw skills , athleticism but knock on him is he lacks on positioning and an awkward glove hand (wtv that is supposed to mean).
