NYI will be tough,  they're playing really loose. They just beat the Pens back to back.
Key is to get to their netminder quick ,

    Re: B's are in

despite how comfortable we all have felt for 78 games, it's rather remarkable just how thin the margin for error has been this season in the NHL. It's unreal that we have just clinched a spot with 4 games remaining.

I mean, Toronto was only recently eliminated from the playoffs, and they are in line for a lottery pick.

I can't help but think that this parity is excellent for the NHL.

They have a game against Ottawa.  Play like you mean it against Ottawa.  Don't give them ideas.

Between the last game of the season and the first game of round 1, they'll have plenty of time to rest. Give TT a game or 2 off, maybe one to Chara but that's it. Get this team on a roll now.

Nothing in the Herald either...dolts Boston is a hockey town, but the sports reporting in not hockey-centric...makes me sad.

Really, really good point and with all the the teams hovering around 8 through 11th place Chiarelli was still able to pluck 2 decent role players for nothing to help.

Yes, but it is so artificial.  The leafs where out long ago and the Bruins had clinched way before this.  The 3 point game creates the illusion of more parity than really exists.  It's hard to gain ground and hard to free fall (OK the Leafs are the exception to that one!).  I equate it to a indy car road track.   You have these fast cars that can't pull away and can't pass if they are behind.  Looks great but is really lacking in action.
