B's Fatigued and we are not in in March

Whats the deal?  Just got out worked by a team who played last night and never won a back to back game, Chara is making mental mistakes and has been on for the last 6 goals, low percentage passes, bone hed defensive coverage, getting out hit by blake wheeler, and on an on... Maybe some of these players need a vacation?

Not fatigued, just not enough good players right now. This is what a couple of injuries and horrible depth at the forward position looks like.

all teams go through highs and lows; you have to ask if you would rather that the Bs peak now, or wait till the playoffs...the job of a good manager is to make sure that a team does not peak too early or too late....

I for one am glad that we are not peaking now...remember that this time last year, the Flyers were playing just like the NYR...at the end of the season, they crashed and burned...rememer how that worked out for them?

This is where the expectations from the young players of being ready to help from Providence were supposed to come into play. Sauve, Arniel and others could've helped with the injury problems the big club is currently having.

Not even close ! The depth of this team has taken a kick in the head due to the inability of the farm team to produce young quality replacements due to injury situations just like in the past.

Very disappointing and forces PC to go the trade route.

Re: B's Fatigued and we are not in in March

Right on about the Providence players, but the last few weeks thay are playing better. IMO some of them are like Kreji, and need to learn how to perform at the top of their game, like Bergeron, every game. Arneil showed well in pre-season, and scored well last year, Why the drop off? Sauve has been hurt; Cunningham is only 19; Camper is 24, but as a college player has been learning the pro game; the same "college " player learning the pro game applies to most of the defense. The Bruins do look tired as they faded in the 3rd period, but , it was obvious that Lucic and Kreji had zero confidence in Pouliot, and couldn't even find him on the ice at times. The 4th line had Hennessey and Thornton, too much for Campbell to cover;Paille played well with Kelly and Caron, but they are a defensive-first line, with an occasional goal.  Marchand must be on strict orders to simmer down, but, as Neely stated, we still need him to play his game.

Re: B's Fatigued and we are not in in March

Just read Stanley cup of Choda's assessment of Chara's performance since the all-star game. Chara is -9 in that span. It also stated that without Chara the defense is mediocre at best. Time for Peter to get busy. or for Claude to adjust the " system" that isn't working with Chara being too slow; Corvo making glaring mistake every night; and Claude thinking that Pouliot and Thornton are the greatest wings since sliced bread. definitely need some revised thinking.

I agree that Chara is playing terrible, slow to react and making poor decisions.
Bruins and not finishing checks and the turn overs are brutal !!
We need to score goals !
    We need Rick Nash !!

I don't think this team knows its 4 points from seventh place, they are in second but barely in a playoff spot if they keep losing.

I think the team has tuned the coaching staff out and face it last year it was all Thomas.

Nash ain't the answer. Lucic is a better player more goals more assists more PIM better shooting percentage and more intimating.

I hate to say this but it's easier to can the coach than to trade players.

Re: B's Fatigued and we are not in in March

They have more than enough talent to win they just need to play better. It starts w/ your best players, Chara has been awful lately and Thomas has been very average. Krejci has been hot & cold all season but lately he's been terrible. They need to go back to basics. Make the simple play, stop turning the puck over in the neutral. Get the puck on net and get rebounds. And for god sakes take the body more. I believe a trade is coming cause this team needs to be shaken from its malaise. No idea who or for what but I sure we'll something happen.

This team has not been really engaged since the Vancouver game. It's in their heads now that if they do anything remotely close to a penalty, it will be called AND other teams can get away with more against them. Start banging bodies again and live with the consequences... I'll take a few penalties and a suspension for another month like November.

Chowdah, I'm really starting to wonder what's going on in Prov. We've had numerous prospects go there and regress over the course of their AHL careers. Why is that? Are they so caught up in teaching the system that they're overlooking other important things? It just seems like a lot of young players take a step back in Prov in recent years.

........or are they just not as good as we think they can be ? Frustrating not to see them developing to at least 3rd or 4th line depth players with the odd callup.

Your questions might be answered in the next wave of juniors to make their way there. I can't see all of them failing to produce at the next level like these players have. They are talented. If they regress too then you got to wonder what the heck is going on........

Re: B's Fatigued and we are not in in March

it would be good if we could get some objective input on Providence. Both coaches were touted as having significant experience. Is the recent[ last ten games] won/loss indicating better overall team play? Heshey is no patsy to play against, nor, as RED noted, are the Winnepeg farm team up in Novy where it looks like some very close team efforts. Has anyone watched them so we can have some direct input ?
