    Bye-bye Bryz

Flyers to buy out Bryzgalov, so they will be using both of their compliance buyouts this year.  Over $12M in cap savings from this and buying out Briere.  That's a lot of dough.

How does Holmgren keep his job?

It is amazing that heads don't role over this.  Such poor management.

Who's the next goalie they throw money at before he flames out?

    Bernier...10 years $68 million?

    Sounds about right for Holmgren.

Or watch them prep an offer sheet for Rask.

Darned, just saw that. a little late to the game today.

For Frattin and Big Ben? seems like a good deal for the Kings. I thought Scrivens was gonna be a good one, now he's gonna back up Quick for the forseeable future?

I know they just signed Mason. But with the Flyers having that much cap space and Tuuka an RFA, I dont trust it. They did it with Weber last year with Bryzgalov and Biere on their roster.

After all the goalies they've been through, I just dont think they will view Mason, who i beleive is a good goalie, as the answer. Certainly wouldnt shock me is they go after Rask.

So Philly's going with Steve Mason as their number one?

Just saw your post, dez. A chill went down my spine.

I thought the Kings got a good return too. I bet Scrivens is sad though because he at least had a chance to outplay Reimer. Now, not so much.

I don't think Rask will want to go. He seems to enjoy his team here. Hope they lock him up before Philly gets the chance.

$23 million to sit on the couch. The Flyers only had an operating income of $10.9 million last year, so basically they're spending two years profits just to get rid of the guy. Unreal.

Rask would be a perfect Philadelphia goalie. The best choker should play for a team with a history of choker goalies. Even Bryz would be a improvement.
