How many shots is he going to take that get blocked? he took one with a sprawling Cap right in front of him. You see someone on his stomach, go around him!!!! -

Corvo has done it consistently all year. Attempted shots are actually what he's really good at. -

The Caps did a good job at blocking shots tonight. It didn't realize we were playing the Rangers. -

The Bruins forum piñata was no different then anyone else last night. The Caps were excellent in blocking shots. All Bruins included. -

Anyone look at Corvo's TOI? Over 19 minutes. That's a shock to me considering he had more than Manchuck. -

Corvo played a lot better than he has in the regular season. He skated with more authority. However, he ought to thank his lucky stars that Greg Zanon is partner with him. Zanon will save his butt when he coughs up the puck. He actually nearly gave up a goal on one giveaway in the zone. I just don't feel comfortable when he's on the ice. Maybe it's the reg. season stuff, but let's face it---he's a healthy scratch if McQuaid was/is healthy. -

Boychuk has not been the same since that knee hit. I don't know, tentative maybe, but it's going to be tough to rely on Corvo if Boychuk/McQuaid are shadows of themselves due to injuries. -

That stays consistent with Julien staying loyal and giving his veteran's a chance to get out of funks. I thought Uh oh Joe played great last night seemed very confident.
Chowda is right no one was really getting pucks through. Having said that Corvo still sits when McQuaid is ready. -

I thought Corvo was fine.
I think we all have a collective case of Wideman-itis with this guy.
So he wasn't a lockdown D...never was
Get shots blocked from the point...they all did (Chara just as bad)
Made some good breakout passes, and they did pitch a shutout.
Played 19 + minutes, he couldn't have stunk as badly as we all assume he did. -

Corvo did hit the post once--that was badly misplayed by Holtby and could have easily gone in.
I thought that out of all the B's last night, Peverley had the worst game. I think it is just an anomaly for him, however. He will bounce back.
