Can we call this a BLACK TUESDAY???

Not only we lost ....we lost to the Maple Leafs one of two teams we cannot afford to lose
Not only we didnt get a big forward : Trade rumors around Stephen Weiss, Zach Parise, Jason Arnott, Jason Spezza ....we ended up with Chris Kelly , 30 years old has averaged .38 pts per game in his NHL carreer.....did we really need to get Kelly ???? Cant Sauve or Caron or Colborne do the job ??? Even Seguin who has a terrible season has averaged .34 pts per game at 18 years old and with an average playing time of less than 10 minutes per game ....why did we acquire Kelly ???? I think that among the available players in the NHL we probably got the worst ...I still dont inderstand this trade .....
We didnt even get Kaberle yet wich is not the best D available ..I would rather have Bowmester or Bogosian or even Cody Franson (looks like he will land in Montreal) .......
So for all those reason I declare yesterday February 15th 2011 a black Tuesday in thhe Bruins history .....
Stanley Cup to the BRUINS in 2011-2012-2013 (well not so sure about 2011 after yesterday) -

I love how Chairelli spends the 2 million on a checking centerman. Unreal.
I am pretty sure checking isn't the issue.
Can we get a winger and someone to help from the point on the PP? -

He has until 2/28 to make it right. We'll see. It ain't over yet, but you can't help but get doosch chills thinking about Bruins deadline or waiver deals of yesteryear where you just knew they weren't really trying.
If he does nothing and sends this team into April, it'll be seen as another Jacobs Special. -

They're plugging holes.
Needed a 3rd line Center--got Kelly
Needed a Puck Mover D-man, Point Guy PP--will get Kaberle.
Practical. Sensible. UNDERwhelming.
CLASSIC Chiarelli.They're now SOLIDLY mediocre.
Which puts them in Contention in a very weak East.

Yes, last night was very dissapointing to say the least. Once they were up after Bergerons goal the game should have been over. Toronto's speed really exposed the lack of it by the Bruins defence.
Another thing to note is the almost complete lack of hitting by the Bruins forwards. In fact, only Chara and Stuart seemed to be invloved physically although it should be noted that Chara did not have a strong game either. Has Lucic forgotten how to hit? Where was Horton?
On a more positive note, it seems that Paille is playing with some urgency. -

Lucic has been AWOL from hitting ALL season.
He's now a big finesses player. -

is right. All i want now is that d-man and that is Kaberle. Once that happends i think i will feel much better. Gives every one a month and half to play together before play off times are here. -

He just hasn't been making the highlight reel hits. He is still winning battles along the boards and protecting the puck very well downlow, as well as making defenders think twice about going into the corner with him. He is playing the exact game we need him to (and leading the Bruins in goals) so I'm more than happy. -

Posted by jmwaltersYeah, I wonder about this too. Most of the B's don't apply the strong, physical aspect of the checking game, game-in and game-out. And yet it should be clear to all (including the players) that they clearly have the most success when they hit early and often. You gotta believe the coaching staff is preaching this loudly, and every day. So I have to think it's either a lack of maturity by the individual player in his preparation (read Wheeler), or a wilfull "don't-care-I'm-not-gonna-play-that-way attitude by some (read Kessel - before he got traded).Either way, they'll have to correct this in order to go far in the playoffs (this year or any year). -

Yes, plus Chia saying no real big deals are coming. Great another "2 way forward", "PK specialist", "Forechecker", "Own end guy". When do we get to say scorer, offense, goals?
What we need: Clod gone, Chia gone, Mediocore overpaid guys (ala Kelley, Ryder, Wheeler, Boychuck, Ferrence, etc etc etc) GONE. Get some guys who can actually play. Translation of good 2 way guy: mucker, can't score, dump and chase to setup point man wrist shots for Clods system, great.
