can we sign these players to two way contract?

If we sign Chris Clark to a 2 way contract does he have go through waivers?
If we sign Hnidy to a 2 way contract does he have go through waivers?

I think these two players will be good leadership in Providence and a good call up just in case.

2-way contracts have to clear waivers going down if the player has more than 3 pro seasons in.  Hnidy is retired, so they can't sign him.

And neither would sign a two-way contract at this point.  If the Bruins wanted them in the organization, they'd have to sign them and eat the $500K in additional salary that it would cost - NHL minimum vs AHL max.  Doesn't mean they can't be assigned to the AHL - just ask Sean Avery! - just that they get paid an NHL salary to play in the A.

Bruins have Whitfield, Hennessey, and Tardif to provide veteran leadership in the A already.  Adding another guy to lead the prospects at the expense of time on the ice for the prospects doesn't work out.  Clark might be better in that role than, say, Hennessey, but then I'd come back to does he really want to ride the bus at this stage of what has been a pretty admirable journeyman career.
