[QUOTE]During a Washington game on the weekend, the announcer described Dennis Wideman, as a "defensive specialist, with an offensive upside". That was my OMG moment.

Hahaha, that's a good one, but nothing can beat Bob Cole talking about "Boston tough-guy David Krecji". I still laugh about that one.

I love Center Ice. (I live in Canada but spelled "Center" the American way for all my American friends here). Anyway, you get home from work on a Tuesday night in January, it's about a hundred below, it's dark by 5:00, there's nothing else to do, and PRESTO!...the Bruins are on. What better to way to spend 2.5 hrs. For six months of entertainment three times a week, it's money well spent. My wife might not be quite as enthusiastic about it as I am, but it's growing on her. She even cheers when the Bruins score now, LOL.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Center Ice Pack : Maybe it's just my provider, but most CI games are not in HD. The HD games I get are NESN, Versus, NHL Network and one Center Ice channel...if a game isn't on one of those 4, I get standard definition on a HD TV which looks terrible. However, it looks better than trying to watch the Habs on a dodgy internet feed and as much as I like the new broadcaster, seeing is still better. If I was a Bruins fan I wouldn't spring for CI for that reason--not enough games in HD. But rooting for a team whose games I can't normally get in Maine anymore makes me put up with it. Overall, though, it's not a great product.

Huh.  I don't know.  I have DirecTV here in Denver and the center ice game options usually offer an HD feed for every game and the choice of both team's feeds.  No lie.  I almost always get the Bruins in HD.  Like last night, I had both the Florida and the Pittsburgh feed for the Pens-Panthers game and both were in HD.

Maybe it does matter who your provider is and where you live.  I have no idea.

I love center ice, I like watching random games. And most Bruins games are in HD, and when they are in HD it is usually NESN.

Gotta agree with you here. My hate started in the playoffs last year. All he did was critize the Bruins. Boston didn't do anything right, it was the Canadian teams(Montreal/Vancouver) that were doing things wrong.

Was watching a game on CBC this weekend, and he says something along the line of..." Well, if they called that in the finals last year, maybe Boston wouldn't have won the cup"...arghhh.
He pi**ed me off so much in the playoffs that I actually sent as e-mail to CBC...no response.

I'll take any lame broadcasters on centre ice over Healy

Where you from to get that pack? Would be great to have. Some of the best hockey to watch is junior hockey.

And why Bettman fields calls every week on his radio show as too when the HD will start working the Center Ice package. At least he stopped blaming the cable companies and acknowledged it was an NHL problem.
