    Clinching the Northeast Division

Unless my math is wrong, the B's can clinch the Northeast Division tonight.

Mtl: 89 pts. + 4 GR = 97 pts. if they win out
    B's: 96 pts. + 1 W tonight = 98 pts. Laughing

    Am I wrong?

I am excited not so much for the NE Div. win, but to take away hope from Mtl.

    Its pretty simple:

Habs win out = 97 points

Bruins get 2 points in the rest of the year = 98

All the Bruins have to do is get 2 points out of their entire remaining games and they clinch the Northeast.  Its pretty much a done deal.

Same with Buffalo. Most they could get is 97 points.

Bruins have an HONSET chance in catching the Caps.  Doesnt REALLY matter, because theyll be playing one of three teams anyway, and nothing is set in stone.  But, looking at the Bruins schedule, they could pass the Caps.

Does second place even matter?  Both Buffalo and the Rangers could pass Montreal the way things are going - we'll end up with one of the three in the first round, regardless.  I'd rather face the Canadiens than Lundqvist or Miller.

Wish I'd written a few minutes sooner, eh.
