Lucky for both. JVR was good last night going to the net but Marchand was on it, I felt he was one of the best Bruins last night.

It was an intentional miss.  I think Marchand could have hit him if he really wanted.

It was a reactionary play.  I'm sure death wasn't on Marchand's list, but I doubt he intentionally missed as well.  That's why I say he got lucky.

That second .gif shows just what a slimeball Ruutu is.  Well timed hook behind the knee.  It's funny to see Phaneuf go azz over teakettle, but it wasn't like he fell on his own.

Mutant regardless of how it happened it is hilarious.

Good thing Marchand missed, I'm guessing that even with the slightest brush of the stick, JVR would have gone down like a bad card table.

There's ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT any intent there......off missing! He swung that stick to connect & anyone who try's to defend this has rose colored glasses on! Comon, show some objectiveness here! What JVR did is garbage too, but to try & say that that "if he wanted to hit him he would've." ? very ridiculous comment. I've swung my stick like this before & never had the intent of missing to give a warning shot!

The objectivity is that Marchand was retalliating because VanR tried to butt end him in his "privates". Does that tidbit change these negatives about Marchand ? Phaneuf did it to Seguin, which should have been 5 for intent to injure, now VanR does a sneaky move as Marchand was skating by. These are really dirty moves by the leafs, and will not be tolerated as this series proceeds. Also, it was a clear elbow by Ference on Grabofski, so the cheap shots could escalate.
