And he was asking about Nash las year and Kovalev a few years ago, etc, etc. This is what he does, inquires to see if there is a good deal to be made and then ultimately ends up with a Pouliot or Bourque.

The fact that PC even spoke to Vinny tells me he's open to signing a forward if the money is right.
Nothing wrong with that as obviously they have been to the SC 2 of the last 3 years. We, as fans, should not get our hopes up, however. Soderberg and Caron/other P-Bruin will likely be in the starting lineup come september if I had to guess.
Still can be when peverly or kelly is dealt.
with peverly getting traded for cap room i imagine caron getting a chance i actually believe kelly holds value via trade. Hes an awesome pk guy, can chip in, speed, leader and at 3m the oilers would love to have him. Just as an example. We went all year using a revolving door on 3rd line. Id be ok trying soder/peverly/caron.
My wish list is briere, iggy or clarkson. Keep a little room by using caron all year then add someone at the deadline. As long as our top 6 are set for the year. im happy. Keep the 4th line. Mix n match on 3rd until deadline. Hope for soder to spark peverly. Caron is defensively sound. Spooner could add some spark there as well.
Essentially this has to happen
1. Sign rask. 6m.
2. Trade kelly for a pick Or Maybe a cheap depth guy.
3. Sign iggy or briere.
I would love to have Clarkson but I think that is unlikely. Briere would be a good fit with Bergy and Marchand.
