He's on a one-way deal for $635K, and qualifies as an RFA if he shows anything while he's here. Time for Pandolfo to sit.

Well he cant do any worse than Pandolfo.  Lets just hope PC's moves this year arent limited to waiver wire players.

Bridge till the deadline and yes he is better than the BDC whipping boy.

I don't have any such constraints.

It will be very interesting to see the explanation of why the semi-useless Daugavins was picked up instead of Jokinen.

How do we know for sure, we have not seen Pandolfo in a shootout  situation....:)

Money...Chiarelli expects to bring salary in. I would prefer Jokinen as well but I don't expect Daugavins to be in Boston verry long and if he refuses an assignment to Providence so be it.

Anyone know the rules about whether he can be sent down or traded right after being claimed off waivers???

$3 million in cap hit next season would seem to be the obvious explanation.

I would presume he would have to go through waivers all over again if PC wanted to send him to Providence.

Was he on the Calder Cup team?  If so he knows how to win.  That being said, *yawn*.

Yet people have no problem talking about picking up Cammallari and/or Boumeester...both clocking in at $6million a piece for next season?

Players like that would be why players like Jokinen are looked past.

PC Labrie was on the Hampton Roads Cup team.  He knows how to win.

    What does that mean?

Right, so my point is that quality of the player does trump the price tag. So picking up the Daug instead of Jokinen is probably not an entirely money-based decision.

Are you saying it would be impossible to trade Cammalleri and/or Bouwmeester at the draft or during the summer ?

Huh? You missed what I meant - I DO have a problem with going after JayBo and Cam. because of their price tags next season. It's a cap based league so quality can't trump price - it needs to be a balance between the two.

Interesting stat. All of Daugavins points this season have come at the expense of  the B's....
