posted at 4/27/2012 9:38 AM EDTwe've got to stop paying attention to peoples tweets or whatever they are. attention is what they want, attention is what we're giving them. this "social networking" thing is out of control. it's never been easier for bigots and idiots to be heard. i choose to pay them no attention. the media on the other hand, just landed themselves a couple days worth of stories. in a perfect world these morons wouldn't exist, but they do, and they have an outlet to be heard. words are just words, no matter how hurtful they can be. even though these remarks are reprehensible, they are protected by free speech. if racist actions are taken (hiring practices, violence), go get 'em, and make them face justice. there are tens of millions doing the social networking thing, a handfull of bigots does not accurately represent the moral social fabric in the US, or the bruins fanbase for that matter.
