Rumor has it an Eastern Conference team has offered Doan $30M for 4 years.  How could he turn that down?  That is absolutely insane overpayment IMO, condidering what Parise and Suter just signed for.  At his age and at the point in his career, I would expect to see him getting somewhere in the $3.5-5.5 range. $7.5m is just outrageous.  Could be one of either Winnipeg, Carolina, or the Islanders trying to get to the cap floor.  But why 4 years for a 35 year old?  Doesn't make sense to me.
