    Re: Doughie Hamilton

    DH played well when the the rest of the team was going well, but wilh Looch, and Horts not playing very good and 2 D men down I think the young man is playing okay. Kelly also injured was a good defensive forward and DH is having some problems trying to fill in a more defensive roll instead of being a more offensive D like he has at the Begining of the season.

    Injuries are hurting us and could push us down in the standings  some. If the PB's come up and fill in good we will see the depth the B's have and DH can gain more confidence playing more minutes hopefully winning games and help us to score more goals.

    We are starting to see our B's slip and the PP is somewhat to blame but Looch and Horts have to be better and we have get the injured players back. A trade for PP and 3rd line help could be comig, I hope Ignla. but PC is not good at getting big names, so we will have to wait and see what PC does.

    Seven mistakes in one sentence of 14 words.

    If CJ were your English Teacher, he would never play you.

    Corrected sentence:

    Are there a bunch of English Teachers on here; I know what he meant.

    With one change - it should be an individual question as the semi-colon does not effectively work since the first clause is a rhetorical question whereas the second clause is a statement. A question mark would be more correct. (And to his original question, I am not an English teacher but I do tutor English as a side job.)

    And at least this thread has accomplished one thing - it's given us a new nickname to go with Cedfano and Fat.

    Believe it or not NAS, it is "are".

    When the subjects are plural it is "are". In this case Teachers.

    Boston is in the Final.  (Team - singular)

    The Bruins are in the Final. (Plural - players)

    Absolutely correct Red, my mistake. Therefore, the mistakes are up to 9.

    Re-corrected sentence:

    Are there a bunch of English Teachers here? I know what he meant.

    I think NAS is correct. The initrial subject is bunch. "Teachers" simply modifies the initial subject.

    A bunch = singular

    Bunches = plural
