Another OT ... That Aaron Ekblad of the Barrie Colts could be another good player for which ever team drafts him next year.

He had a dissapointing kind of regular season considering the hype surrounding him, but his OHL playoffs thus far (14 games, 7 goals 7, assists), points to a defenseman on the rise.

Niederberger and his .933 SV% might not be a free agent for much longer.

He's having a heck of a playoff run. Last night ? Solid again. My vote for playoff MVP so far.

He's 20 years young- Does that mean any team can bid on him after the OHL playoffs ?

Yes. He played as an overager this year. His drafts have come and gone.

P-Bruins 5, Bears 1: Two goals by Bourque, 30 saves by Svedberg lifts Providence

"HERSHEY, Pa. — Chris Bourque scored two goals and added an assist as the Providence Bruins staved off elimination by defeating the Hershey Bears, 5-1, in Game Three of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal."

Looks like the big three of Bourque, Tardif and Spooner chipped in last night.

And a good game by your boy Svedberg.  Looks like he likes pressure?  "Oh, I'm back from Flakytown.  You need me to stop almost everything?  Okay, I got this."

30 of 31, and shut the door for the final 56 minutes.

If those four are the best players for the P-Bruins today, they'll be back at the Dunk with a one game winner take all.

PBruins go down 4-3 with less than 5 minutes left in the 3rd on the road but get two late goals to win it. Camper with the hat trick, 3rd was the game winner at 18:56.

Staved off elimination, back to the Dunk for the deciding game.

"LONDON, Ont. -- Seth Griffith had two goals and an assist as the London Knights evened the Ontario Hockey League final at a game apiece Sunday, with a 4-1 victory over the Barrie Colts.

Griffith opened the scoring 18 seconds into the second period, and Bo Horvat made it 2-0 just 57 seconds later. The goal was Horvat's 10th of the playoffs. Brett Welychka added a power play goal at 14:03 of the period to make it 3-0."

San, I'm glad to see Caron didn't go down and sulk about it. I wonder if he was given specific instructions to get the puck on net more because he's got a point per game and 15 shots through 4 playoff games so far. I also wonder if anyone has news on Knight because I notice he didn't play again yesterday and he seemed to have been playing too well to be sat out.

dez - Providence is carrying enough forwards to invade Greenland.  Fallstrom, Lindblad, Khokhlachev and Knight are the significant guys who drew short straws, and likely because three of them were late arrivals and Knight was sort of in the same situation.  Of the four, Lindblad made the biggest impact on the scoresheet with 5 points in 4 games.  Then Fallstrom, then a healthy Knight and then the guy some people (cough STANLEY cough) thought should go straight to the NHL because of his great OHL scoring line.

Knight got a game in Mink's spot.  Mink has 3 goals and an assist in 3 games.  I don't think he's coming out if he's healthy.

    Here's highlights of yesterdays games.

    @MarkDivver

"In Game Four today, @AHLBruins go with same lineup as in 5-1 win in Hershey on Sat. night. Healthy scratches: Knight, Trotman, Cohen, Flick"

Yah looks like Knight has been a healthy scratch which in a way is a good thing becuase it means his cranky quad/hamstring is ok. As far as Caron, he is allot better than earlier in the year so says a buddy of mine that works in Providence. I could see Chiarelli re-signing Jordan for one year and see if he can pick it up.

"Camper (5-2-7) and Hershey's Peter LeBlanc (0-7-7) are the top scorers, with Chris Bourque (3-3-6) right behind.

The starting goalies have played well at times, but neither has good numbers. Providence's Niklas Svedberg has a goals-against average of 3.95 and a save percentage of .878. Hershey's Philipp Grubauer's GAA is 3.97 and his save percentage is .897.

Providence's power play is clicking at 33.3 percent - 5 for 15 - best in the playoffs. Hershey's is second - 6 for 22, a success rate of 27.3 percent. Conversely, Providence penalty kill is second-to-last in the league and Hershey's is last."

The good and the bad, tonight is elimination night.

"2-1 Bruins on Caron's goal. Pretty feed from Camper at 15:08. Providence goes up 3-2 on Tardif goal from Miller and Bartkowski at 11:20. Providence wins, 3-2. Wins series, 3-2. Faces W-B/Scranton on Fri."

Nail-biter but the PBruins survive. Tardif comes through again late. Carter Camper is enfuego right now.
