Here is a fantasy trade people:
To Edmonton: Toronto's 1st rounder, a 2nd rounder, Wheeler, Ryder, and Either a prospect or Stuart their choice.
To Boston: Hemsky and Penner.
I believe the Dollars would work and the offence would be Unbelievable!
No D needed. I say this because usually when the Bruins get hemmed in it is because the wings are too high in the zone.
Let the Abuse begin!! -

Hemsky is way too injury prone... Not worth much in my book..
Believe me, I've watch him play since he started. I used to live in Edmonton. -

If we are trading the TOR 1st, it better be for someone better than Penner or Hemsky -

Just take Ryder out of it. Edmonton doesn't want him and they aren't going to take him just to make the dollars work. The motivation in these trades is twofold for Edmonton. 1. To get prospects/draft picks for the future. 2. To unload salary (they are losing money again this year).
For them to give up Penner and Hemsky, they're gonna want a bounty in return. Not just a draft pick and stuggling 3rd line wingers who are making $4 million a year.
I would love to have Hemsky if he could stay healthy he is a top-end talent and can carry the puck the length of the ice with ease. I think the Bruins have enough bangers and size. Another guy who can carry the puck through the neutral zone and into the attack zone is appealing. -

If our 1st rounder is involved we better be landing a young franchise type player. And I like Penner but he doesnt fall into that, not even close -

Hemsky>Penner (for the B's purposes).
Hemksy is a game changer, Penner is a large body who stands in front of the net.
This team needs a power play specialist who can back defenders into the zone from the wing.
We don't need a larger body like Lucic or a garbage goal plugger like Recchi. They need a guy who can create/skate and transition from the wing. Penner doesn't really do that.
Hemsky is also the cheaper player in this kind of a market in terms of what Chia would need to unload. It serves the need and it's cheaper than a trendy Penner option.
If Mike Fisher is garnering a 1st and potential 2nd rd pick, the market is clearly overpriced/tight and Hemksy might come cheaper than Penner.
Penner is great, but Lucic is Penner here (big body, 25-30 goals).
I know it sounds weird to say we need a passer from the Wing spot, but that is really what they need to help out on the PP.
You roll out Hemsky with Kreijci, and either Horton or Lucic on a PP unit with Chara and an offensive minded veteran puck moving guy, and the B's all of a sudden have two nasty PP units.
Hemsky can probably be had for a late 1st rounder and Blake Wheeler.
Then you flip Mark Stuart and a later round pick over for a team that has that veteran puck moving D Man who is out of the playoffs.
Keep #5 overall, and it's a win/win.
PP 1:
Horton Kreicji Hemsky
Chara, Pitkanen (example)
PP2:
Ryder Bergeron Lucic
Seidenberg, Kampfer/Boychuk
Something like that. The real goal here should be to upgrade the transition game, speed and the PP groups. -

Forget forwards, Chia is after a quality young defenseman, Shea Weber, Bogosian, or Johnson; otherwise, no draft pick in play. -

Sorry but the B's get killed in that trade. We do not improve near enough to be throughing the Toronto pick in. -

Here are the best possibilities and most realistic !!!!
2 first rounds + Ryder + Stuart to Ottawa
Spezza and Karlson to Boston
1st round + 2nd Round + Ryder to Florida
Booth and Weise to Boston
1st round + 2nd round + Stuart to New York Isles
Moulson + Oduyo to Boston
