Flyers think they have acquired Vinny

Saw it on twitter, why does it feel like the flyers don't have a salary cap.

I'm right there with you. The Flyers are in the market for EVERYBODY as if the cap doesn't apply to them. Someone is doing some creative math in their organization or they are better off than 99% think they are.

Vinny is sharp, and Vinny is smart.

After fleecing TBay, he's going to fleece Ed Snider now.

Way to go, Vinny. Your great, great, great grandchildren can't wipe the smiles from their faces.

Easy, Ed Snider will eat contracts and let Holmgren move players without thought of $ consequences***. Holmgren is not afraid to make moves with high draft picks, ie. JVR.  Yet, think what it has produced, nada.

***I am thinking JJ needs to step to the plate despite his stance in the last CBA talks.  He needs to buy out a contract to help PC handle the loss of Horton.

BDC log in issues are just insane! Help!

The yard sale of philly players is about to open up.  Wouldnt mind landing talbot for the 3rd line.

True, but he's a little weak defensively. He'll help the PP however.

I wasn't too far off from my 4y/$20M guess.  The Flyers though?  I suppose that the annual re-invention of the Flyers shouldn't come as a surprise.

They still need a goalie, but I don't think they will be in big cap trouble.

I'd have liked Vinny in Montreal, but for 2-3 years.  5 years with no more buyouts? Pass. Have at it, Flyers.

And full no movement clause.  Better them than the time I root for.

NMC is no big deal now that you only save $900K demoting a guy.  As we've seen before, if things go sour in Philly and they want to move VL, he will be moved.  Just more like Iginla was moved than how Jagr was moved.

I would have taken him at that price, to be honest.  He'd have been as good a replacement for Horton as any.

Book, the price was okay I guess. It's the length I have issue with.

Me too, dez.  Krejci, Bergeron, Marchand and Lucic aren't going anywhere any time soon, I don't think, and Seguin is unlikely to be leaving.  That leave one top six spot for the next four or five years.  Would Vinny be the best choice to fill it, and would he be willing to play 3rd line if some rookie took his job?

    Are you not entertained?!?!
