    Funny thing a lot of people don't realize

    Ryder was offered two equal contracts when he was a UFA and basically it came down to a choice for him.   Vancouver and Boston both offered 12 Million over 3 years.     He chose Boston partially because he wanted to be on the East Coast, and Julien was here.    It would be ironic if he were to score the game winner tomorrow night.

    Where's the irony? He chose Boston.

    It would be ironic if Vancouver had rejected him.

    Hmmm ... thought it was calgary and boston, who were after his services that summer.
