Cherry just hi-lited Phaneuf avoiding Lucic in the corner going for the puck.

you had to know that was going to happen.

Even Don Cherry called out Phaneuf " Look at that, he wouldn't even go into the corner "  among all the other critics he gave him.

Phaneuf is such a poser, hate to see him Komiserak, Kessel or Wideman on any team I want to see win.

If the Bruins were any more gutless and cowardly the score might have been a bit higher.

I can see the point Nas is making about not changing a thing but I'd prefer to see Peverley back in next game.

I thought a big part of having all these extra players is so that the guys on the ice know if they don't play well enough, someone can take their place.  If Daugavins played poorly (I had a tough time identifying him) then he'll be out.  Two whole days of practice to decide!  Such a luxury.

Exactly how I feel too Dr. Peverley will should be chomping at the bit.

I wasn't going to go there, but wasn't the GWG a power play goal by Horton?

Agreed. Some people are never happy.

    Can't wait for Saturday.

I'm thrilled they won. Daugavins stinks. I don't see the connection.

I will agree that GWG is an irrelevant stat.

However, Peverley should get a shot. If you can get even better by adding Peverley to your lineup, then why not do it?

Great effort.  leafs confidence in any part of their game is zero.   Bruins must continue and force their foot on their throat.  They did that tonight.

    Re: Game 1: Leafs v. Bruins (01/05/13)

1 down -- 3 to go. Stay focused. Good 60 minute effort.

Quietly getting the job done all night -- Campbell and Ference.

Only down side -- Thornton and Seguin too many blind passes to the wrong team.

Bizarro World moment -- Marchand staying disciplined and landing Komarov in the box. How that was only a misconduct and not a 2 min PP was sick. How many times has a Bruin player been in that situation and wound up with the minor?

Ready and in place for Sharks vs Nucks -- can't wait-- especially after last nights wild Western Conference games.

    Sorry, NAS...couldn't resist.

(But to be fair, you brought up the "PP or fail" thread)

    All is good. Cheers.
