Game 17: Senators at Bruins GDT

Beat yah to it Kelv and JM LoL...

"Rask off first at morning skate, so we'll expect him to start tonight vs Sens..."

Storylines: Tuukka Rask is expected to make his fifth straight start. If that happens, Anton Khudobin is likely to get the nod on Saturday against Tampa Bay. Rask would then start against Montreal on Sunday. Rask said he’s feeling like he’s in a rhythm. But the Bruins will have to manage Rask’s playing time as the schedule becomes tougher… The Bruins have gone six straight games without a fight…The Bruins are 0 for 23 on the power play at home. They have scored seven power-play goals away from the Garden… The Bruins have killed 24 straight penalties… Kevin Pollock and Francis Charron will be the referees. Matt MacPherson and Brian Murphy will be the linesmen. - See more at: http://www.boston.com/sports/hockey/bruins/extras/bruins_blog/2013/02/game_17_senator.html#sthash.itvWGEqs.dpuf
Bruins will start a three-game homestand tonight against the Senators. The Bruins have four of their next five games on home ice.

Ottawa is missing its big guns: Erik Karlsson (Achilles), Jason Spezza (back), and Craig Anderson (knee). But the Senators continue to roll amid their injuries. The Senators have won their last five games.

If Ottawa makes the playoffs Paul MacLean should easily get coach of the year. I've watched allot of the Senator games lately, waiting for the collapse and it isn't happening.  The Senators continue to roll amid their injuries. The Senators have won their last five games.

Good test on the box out D where Bruins have had some problems scoring .  That's what they did to the Habs the other night.  While Habs fired on net almost 50 shots not many were very good scoring chances and were hitting Bishop (at 6ft7).

Sunday the Habs and they're masters at it.  Habs are top3 of teams that receive the least shot against and it's not Markov's return but their system.  Box out and quick counter.

    DAMN YOU SANDOG....:)

B's will bring the Sens back down to earth tonight. They have been playing way over their heads lately considering a good portion of their team now started the season in Bingo....

Could be a tough night to hope for a PP breakout for the B's - the 27th place PP going against the #3 PK. On the flipside the Sens are 17th in PP going up against the Bruins ridiculous 95.1 PK percentage (that net -1 on the PK is a crazy number). Could be a slow night for both teams' PP.

The Sens are nutty right now.  Tonight they will be without Karlsson, Spezza, Anderson, and Michalek -- their 4 best players in my opinion.  Unless Alfredson and Turris go bonkers, the Bruins should control this game.

Not to mention Cowen, their best banger and most physical player. The Sens are like a Timex right now - takes a licking but keeps on ticking.
