Krug's offensive skills are impressive so far - that was a bad pass and most players would have been handcuffed. Quick thinking and nice hands to get that around his leg and get the shot off.

When was the last time you had seen Bruins defense jumping up in the play like this ?

Not sure... when was Bourque traded again?

    Exaclty LoL

Next observation.  I thought in the Stanley Cup run Seguin showed us his upside and volatility.  This run he is dhowing maturity.  He will breakthrough this playoff round and someday I think he will be a great player.

    My take:

Rangers are simply not very good at the moment. Bruins are completely outplaying them in all three zones. However, B's need to stop with the dumba** penalties that are killing their momentum....

Love the chances the Bruins are creating in the Ranger end.

My only fear is, the more they don't score, the more that ups the odds NY will.

I think the more chances the Bruins create the more likely they are to score which also translates to the more porous the Ranger back end are.  The B's seem pretty confident behind the NY blue line right now what with Julien seemingly giving them the go-ahead to pinch.

Well, he led the team in scoring last season as a 19-20 year old so he is already a good player. Won't take much to make him great.

Seguin looked solid in that 1st period.  Time to re-swap him with Jagr?  He wont get many chances to score playing with those two offensive stiffs on the 3rd line.

it would also help if he actually got more icetime than Shawn Thornton....

Good period by the B's.  I don't believe the Rangers are good enough to hang with the skill level the B's can bring.

I can't believe they have Brad Richards on the fourth line.  Can you imagine if the B's had Krejci on the fourth?

    In response to dwtime's comment:

Butterfly goalies propencity to go down on on shots leaves them vulnerable to breakaways like Callaghan's shot.  Stay up, if he shoots you are still in good position if he keeps skating through (like he did) you can push off and get to the opposite post.

You should become a goalie coach.  Rask could learn a few things from you.

Just watched the replay of the Callahan (<---- correct spelling, there is no "G") goal.  Really really soft play by Hamilton.  I'm guessing that he was trying to avoid a penalty or a penalty shot, but at that point, take the chance.  Can't give a halfass effort there.

For one thing the board would be swamped with trade Krejci threads.
