y is there no thread here, who cares about the chats. about hearing from you diehards and fellow bandwagoners. cant believe the bruins arent's up by 4 at this point. they are hitting everything. finally a power play goal. real shock is that the bruins are dominating the shots on goal stat. love our team's chances going forward.

started the 3rd ok and then went back on the heels of their skates...dumping the puck into the corners instead of on the canuck net

Im afraid that the bs are going to lose this one.  There was no excuse for that last goal and if it wern't for the lucky bounces, Vancouver would have about 4 goals by now.

Really guys I thought we could have won both games yes it will be tough to come back from down 2-0 and yes we made some bad turnovers but damn we had a lead into the third period.....on the road against probably the most talented team in the league now we must hold serve at home....give them some credit we were in both games...

I hate to be a whiner, especially since there are several to blame for the loss......but it is a shame when the NHL allows Burrows to play. Is it any wonder why it is seen by some as a third rate professional sport?

VANCOUVER LOOKS LIKE THE BETTER TEAM.  TIM THOMAS HAS TO CHANGE SOME OF HIS OVER AGRESSIVE WAYS

they are taking advantage of thomas' aggression in net. they set him up to overcommit then made him pay on those last 2 goals. then again the bruins should have been up by more goals entering the 4th. i think game 3 will be a laugher for the Bs with game 4 being closer. it should be 2-2 going back. on pure talent from what i've seen. the canucks have the edge. we have to win in all the non-talent areas. chara should have knocked down burrows on that last goal, knowing his goalie had taken himself way out of the play.

I'm sorry but you can't be losing games with 18 seconds left in the third and 11 seconds into OT and come out optimistic

Bruins could be up 2-0 and should be at least tied 1-1.  There's going to be games they can win and games where they just aren't going to be the better team that night.  Problem is, they already had two of the former and squandered them

To see Vancouver celebrating jubilantly after a 3 point night from Burrows and Lapierre mocking Bergeron by sticking his fingers in his mouth is just too disgusting to bare.

They should have stuck it up those guys a-holes tonight and left there leaving great.  Instead they gave Vancouver a second christmas, all of us a horrible weekend and most likely the Canucks the Stanley Cup

This sucks.....sorry, there's no sugar coating it

No, it isnt.  And Im not whining or complaining or blaming anyone for it.  But its a complete joke when every announcer on the TV calls it like it is and league doesnt get this one right.  Nothing to do with tonights outcome, everything to do with why the NHL is a complete joke in America.  The guys running the league are running it into the ground basically.  Its hardly seen on National TV (dont tell me Versus, most places you have to pay extra for it) and when the FINALS are on, a player bites another in the first game, the league says it didnt happen and every announcer on TV proceeds to rip the league.  NOT GOOD!

Thomas' aggression had nothing to do with the last goal. It had nothing to do with the first goal either. People can say all they want about TT, but his aggressiveness prevented several goals tonight. To say his style gave up the first or third goals is ludicrous.

heartbreaking losses.  I cant even speak after the league letting this play out this way.  Vancouver apparently isnt a ton better than the B's, but their offense, defense and goaltending are all better than ours enough to win.

Really, because just standing by the post and letting the puck bounce off the broads and sticking it into the corner was the wrong play????

Thomas sucks plain and simple. Ference can't even clear the puck with any authority. Bruins can be thankful for the injuries to Pens & Flyers for their appearance in the Finals. This is a joke and will be over in 5.

    Re: GAME 2 THREAD: BRUINS-CANUCKS

Yes, Thomas sucks, thats why he had the best stats out of all goalies all year and going into this series.  Thats why he has been selected to and won 3 straight All Star games (something NO other goalie in HISTORY has done).  Thats why he set the all time save percentage this year and thats why he is going to win his second Vezina in 3 years (last year he was injured and STILL managed very good numbers) and its why he was selected to the Olympic team in 2010.  Youre right, you and all your troll buddies are right.  Thomas flat out sucks.

Bruins will play better at home and come back to tie the series. These games have been close and the puck will bounce in their favor because of the great fan support at home and the better Bruins team will shine.

                 GO BRUINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is the wind people generate with their mouths going to move the puck a couple inches and make Peverly's shot go in this time?

    Re: GAME 2 THREAD: BRUINS-CANUCKS

Thomas DOES NOT suck.  He's likely going to win the Vezina this year.

However, like all goalies, he has tendencies.  He's VERY difficult to beat one-on-one.  He anticipates very well (that save on Hansen was incredible). However, he is very aggressive, and tends to overcommit, so lateral puck movement CAN be effective, when he doesn't see it coming. He read the Hansen chance, so was able to go post-to-post with an awesome (watch it again, it's awesome) left leg push to get across.

But that on the Sedin goal, Thomas was reading the shot from the point, which wasn't actually a shot, but a pass to Burrows. Thomas didn't see Daniel moving across the slot, and when Burrows quickly slid him the puck, Thomas was not expecting it, and was out of position at the top of his crease.

On the winning goal, Burrows said that Rollie (Melanson, Canucks' goalie coach) put together tape of Thomas, and Burr said that he wasn't going to shoot, but was planning to slide it past TT on the short side, but that was closed off.  The amazing thing was that he was able to get enough stick on the puck, with Chara also battling for the puck with that javelin that he uses for a stick.

To me, both those goals show good scouting and video study of Thomas.  The only weak one was the first Burrows goal, which Thomas stops 999 times out of 1,000.
