After their win in Philly earlier this week The Toronto Sun had a sub-headline on the front page which read "Who Will Stop Them?"  I thought "This is a wind-up, right?"

hahaha...that had to be tongue in cheek (I hope).

Surely the road to the cup is as easy as winning the first two games of the season, right TO media?

Good period for the B's.  No complaints from me.

Me neither, hang.  However, in tribute to a poster we used to hear from regularly I'm gonna refer to Chara as "Lurch" and suggest he was a pylon on the Wing goal.

    Ahhh the good ole days!

No kidding. I would be willing to bet the farm that had last season been 82 games TO would not have made the playoffs. That is their pattern: start off strong, fade down the stretch.

That goal by Marchand reminded me of the kind Messier used to do.

The solid first half/not so strong second half was a concern for their fans - if one was to place any stock in what was often heard on the local sports talk call-in shows.

Wow, Lucic is as fast on his skates as Alfredsson? Never thought I would see the day.

    And with good reason.

We will find out in a few months if the pattern holds.

Don Cherry just showed a montage of coaches, including himself, going nuts on the bench over the years .  He said Patrick Roy will hold the attention of the Avs.
