Game 20: Bruins at Carolina GDT

By Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff RALEIGH – The Bruins did not alter their lineup in practice today in advance of Monday's game against Carolina. The Bruins are coming off a 4-2 loss to Ottawa in which they allowed four straight goals. Tomorrow’s match is the middle leg of a three-game road swing that concludes at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.

“I thought we had a good start this year on the road,” Claude Julien said. “We won our first four. We’ve slipped since then. We’ve got to pick up our game here on the road. It’s not going to get any easier. It’s only going to get tougher. So we need some quality play from our hockey club.”

Tuukka Rask is coming off his first mediocre start of 2013-14. After yesterday’s rest day in Ottawa and today’s practice in Raleigh, Rask will be ready for a rebound performance if Julien tabs his ace against the Hurricanes.

    Today’s lineup:

    Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Jarome Iginla
    Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Loui Eriksson
    Carl Soderberg-Chris Kelly-Reilly Smith
    Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

    Zdeno Chara-Dougie Hamilton
    Dennis Seidenberg-Torey Krug
    Matt Bartkowski-Johnny Boychuk

    Tuukka Rask
    Chad Johnson

*Adam McQuaid still remains in Boston, recovering from a day-to-day lower body injury he sustained on November 9 against Toronto.

Heading into the game against Carolina on November 18, Eriksson is on a five-game point streak, with two goals and four assists, and a plus-4 rating in that span. He has goals in two straight games. He has yet to have a minus game all season.

Eriksson, Bergeron and Marchand have combined for six goals and six assists, with a plus-14 rating in their past four games.

But how many goals has he scored against Calgary?

This should be an interesting game.  Eric Staal is one guy who always seems to give Chara trouble.  But Carolina is looking pretty thin to me and aren't they down to their 7th string goalie?

Oh you know how Ward loves to play the Bs Fletch.

Canes always give the B's trouble, but a very winnable game for the Bruins. This being said, a full 60 mins will be required.

Yep they sure do. The B's are 18-20 against them since 2006. And only 8-7 since 2010.

Ward seems to play better in Boston for some reason. Dont ask me what the numbers are, but it just seems he gives them fits in Boston.

Just tuned into the game and 1-0 B's....sweet.

ST out? Too bad Caron replaced him, he is equally useless (sorry Dez).

The memory of Cam's performance in 2009 still lingers Kelv. Too bad about the injuries for him.

Is Carl Soderberg blind in his right eye? If so, was his assist a "no-look" pass?
