I thought I saw him on a milk carton lol.

Well, now its time for him to step up now that Lucic will be gone most of the third.

Only three games in but could there be a chance the Avs will be a bit of a Cinderella story this year?  Not regarding the Cup but regular season success?  Maybe along with NYI?  Just wondering.

Nah. Roy's shtick will grow old and their horrible D will be exposed in an 82 game schedule. My opinion.

    [/QUOTE]

What will grow old? Passion, and sticking up for his players?

3 Avs standing around while Lucic is in their captains face. All had the deer in headlights look.

Garden staff are gonna scrap that area of the ice during the intermission, kel.

Krejci only one for the top six forwards looking good. A whole 3rd period to change it.

Bruins dominated that second period... but nothing to show for it.

Patrick Roy rah rah rah + young talent motivated > Bruins skill talent - motivated = regular season.... wake up it is a different NHL than last year!

Never been on either one, never will.

Gotta give Giguere credit, he played well tonight.

Agreee the save on Krug, through the screen (the only screen really), was a beauty!

Avs were the better team tonight.  Fine.  All we know now is that 164 points for the Bs is out of the question this season.  But, 162 still is!

Ericksson needs to get his wheels going.

It's a long season and your gonna have lackluster efforts but being shutout at home by the Avs is unacceptable.

Giguire stole the game, it happens. Avs have the wheels that always create problems for the slower Bruins--- Thornton[ come on Claude] Boychuck[ he can crunch them if he catches them even backing off early] . It was a learning experience for Smith; Caron is really playing well; Marchand starting to come alive, but Ericcson still not with it[ Claude says it will take a month for chemistry] How long before Claude wakes up to the new NHL ? He's done it before, but is still slow to change. Iginla is still missing those openings.

After 3 games, I'm thinking Iginla has more left in the tank than I originally thought.  The fact he's had as many great opportunities, and played as well as he has...without the puck, makes me believe he'll fit in perfect.

Iginla is only 36. Plenty of players make it past that age, especially ones of Iginla's caliber.

I thought the Av's were the better team in the 1st period, after that  the B's took control for the most part.  Giguere was the best player on the ice.  Shiite happens.

Well, if we're allowed to magically go back in time to 2010 bim, you'd still want Iginla -- he had 43 gaols that year (to Horton's 26).

Or, we could come back to reality and talk about the present.

Are you going to argue the notion that Iginla is as good or better than Horton was on that line?  Because it's really a simple analogy, for me anyways.  People like me need to keep things as simple as possible, you know.

    So far:

    Krejci+Lucic+Horton = 5 divided by 3

    and Krejci+Lucic+Iginla = 0 divided 3

Not sure where Calgary players factor in.

    Where am I going wrong?

bim, your understanding this is about as strong as your understanding of the Founders the other day and those crazy Catholics controlling the British monarchy.  I know you like simple, but it still has to make sense.

If you want to reach back to 2010, like you did, than compare 2010 numbers (Iginla had 43 goals, Horton 26).

If you want to talk about the present than you'd have to compare Horton's play during the regular season last year, which was not good.  Horton scored .30 goals per game last year and had .46 points per game, on that line.  Great chemistry eh?  Let's see what Iginla does this year.  Care to wager on who does better?
