That was a great fight. Little blood on Lucic's mouth.

Gazdic a seasoned counterpuncher. Lucic took a couple of smokers. This is what sometimes happens with no skating clown. Bad tradeoffs. Interested to see how fat looks when he returns. Also sporting nice cut on hand.

Annoying when you know they will be playing better trailing late in the game than with a 3-0 lead.

And 3-2. Yikes. Do they go to sleep?

Very sloppy second... had some chances though. Are we seeing a return of the second period slide?

Best energy comes from our 3rd line

Best speed comes from our 3rd line

less ice time : our 3rd line......28 secs shift .....isnt that stupid ...

yup my prediction 4-3 for the Oilers will be right on ......again

Second Edmonton goal -- a coupe of errors -- last one by Johnson with a gratuitous bunt right onto Perron's stick.

First it's 4-3 Oilers -- then when B's up 3-0 it's "Can't see how Oilers can come back". Oilers come back to 3-2 and now it's 4-3 Oilers again. Next -- it will be you can't take it and going to bed goodnight -- followed my more stupid posts. You continue to be the Court Jester of this board.

Bruins cycled the puck really well there for a solid minute or so

Boychuk -- my pick for 1st star of the game. Throwback to what this franchise is all about.

Rest up for a biggie on Saturday. Go Bruins.....

Johnson had some nice saves, but you guys are right about him giving up rebounds. Definitely made things more exciting than it needed to be.

I was really hoping someone on that third line would get a goal. The kids were used sparingly (Spooner 8:16, Fraser 7:24) with only Fraser registering a shot on goal. Carl played a bit more (12:24) but was 0-0-0-0...well I guess the bright spot was that none of them were in the minus column.

The "suckond" period is something they have to get fixed.  Yes, Johnson is awful with the rebounds.  Rather this is obvious now than later in the season, and he can work on fixing it.  I think he's shown a keen eye for seeing plays develop, squaring up, and good reflexes, but he's gotta corral that puck.  Fix that and he's as good a back up as one can want.

The best thing was seeing Bergey's line really clicking tonight.  Again, I hope Marchand has returned.

A decent win on the road with several AHL guys in the line up.

Chad Johnson, even with his problems, is starting to look a little better to me.   At least Johnson isn't giving up those "asleep at the switch" type of goals that Khudo gave up where he got scored on because he wasn't even paying attention.

Yet this thread gets pushed down while the complaint threads go to the top.

They're winning.  These are good times.  If you've been around long enough you've seen bad times.  There is parity in the NHL and this won't last forever.
